Paneer methi

2 Tbsp oil 

sabut laal mirch dryed. 
250 gms methi blanched with 1 tsp of sugar and pureed 

2 tsp dhania (coriander powder) 

250 gms paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cubed

1/2 cup tomato puree 

2 tsp salt, or to taste 

  • Method

  • Heat oil and add laal mirch.

    When it darkens a little, pick two out of the kadahi and keep aside.

    Add the tomato puree and turn around a few times.

    Add salt, garam masala and dhania, saute till the fat separates.

    Add methi, mix well, and add cubed paneer.

    Let it simmer for about 3 minutes. 

  • Served hot garnished with coriander leaves. 

Rishikesh tour

Rishikesh is a city,a tehsil  in Dehradun district of state,  Uttarakhand. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India, it is known as the ‘Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas and Yoga Capital of the World.Rishikesh is surrounded by three districts: Tehri GarhwalPauri Garhwal and Haridwar. Rishikesh view across Lakshman Jhula bridge 

Built in 1939, Laxman or Lakshman Jhula is a suspension bridge in Rishikesh With a length of 450 feet and at a height of around 70 feet from the river. According to Hinduism, this bridge is built in the same place, where Lakshmana once crossed the river Ganges on a jute rope, thus making this another important pilgrim attraction.

White water rafting

Rishikesh is also a brilliant spot for white water rafting. Other adventure activities include mountain biking, canyoning and even bungee jumping. However, the rates and availability differ from season to season.

Neelkantha Mahadeva Temple

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Shiva as Neelkanth is his another name. This temple is located around 7km from Swarg Ashram and the route is a 3 hour long walk along a forest path.

Another way to reach here is via Lakshman Jhula. A taxi might also take you there for a reasonable price. Pilgrims offer water from Ganga to this temple.

Maha Aarti at Triveni Ghat 

The Aarti of Goddess Ganga, Maha Aarti is a daily event at Triveni Ghat. Devotees offer prayers during the Aarti and set several lamps afloat in the river as a part of the ceremony. The ceremony usually takes place only after sunset. The Aarti is performed on behalf of the Ganga Seva Samiti that manages the lightings, cleanliness, celebrations, toilets and ambulance services at Triveni ghat.

Masala chicken


  • 1 lb(1/2 kg approx) boneless chicken
  • A pinch turmeric
  • ½ cup onion
  • ½ cup tomatoes
  • 1 tea spn chilli powder
  • ½ tea spn coarse pepper powder
  • 1 tea spn coriander powder
  • 1 tea spn cumin powder
  • ½ tea spn garam masala
  • ½ tea spn amchoor powder
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • 1 tea spn ginger garlic powder
  • 1 tbl spn plain yogurt(curd)
  • Oil
  • Salt


  1. Apply turmeric powder, a little salt and yogurt to chicken pieces and keep aside for atleast 1 hr.
  2. Heat oil, add curry leaves, onion, ginger-garlic paste.
  3. Fry till onion is slightly brownish.
  4. Now add all dry powders, fry for a min till nice aroma comes out.
  5. Add tomatoes and fry till they are mushy.
  6. Add chicken pieces and mix well.
  7. Cover and cook till chicken is done. In between mix everything couple of times to make sure it doesn’t burn.
  8. Serve hot.
